I can only admire you from your wake as you speed off in another direction! Good for you! There ought to be room in every fangirl's heart for four or ten or forty fandoms ; )

The more fandoms I fall into, and I have splashed in many in my lifetime, the more I find I have a lasting affection for all of them, it is just a question of degrees of commitment. I have never really had a fandom fall completely out of favor or off my radar. Shoot, I still read Star Trek and Man From Uncle slash and that love goes back half a century to my childhood.

You go, girlfriend! I choose to believe it doesn't mean you are gone.

I think David is absolutely adorkable. Have you seen the photos (http://www.david-hewlett.co.uk/DHDalekPhotos.htm) and the thank you letter (http://www.david-hewlett.co.uk/DHThankYou2.htm) from him for the inflateable Dalek that a bunch of fans sent him as a birthday gift last year. So cute!!

Oh yeah, I absolutely turned the fansite inside out, digging for Hewlett goodies! It appears that the Dalek has a cameo in the behind the scenes features on one of the season 2 SGA dvd's; I so hope it'll still be there when the box comes out over here!

I love how there's that fan-connection. He and his girlfriend writing messages on the site of their upcoming movie project and it seems it was David himself who posted the sneak peek of the movie at YouTube. I'm really not interested in seeing pics of them buy groceries or any such shit, but I love this 'meeting in the middle'. That 'geeks among each other' feeling. ♥
