Fic rec: "Merry Perd Sa Cerise" (part of THoU) by daisy_gamgee (M/P, M/B) NC-17

This is not a new story. It's been posted before in the summer of 2002, but it's never been put up with the rest of 'The History of Us' series. Mostly it's a background story to Chapter 6 in book I.

For those who are not familiar with that series: In this part of the story Merry and Pippin already clearly 'belong' together, but the difference in age is starting to be a problem as Merry is already a young 'man', with urges for which Pippin is still too young. Pippin is completely unreserved in his affection for Merry, and Merry sometimes just doesn't know where to turn with the feelings that come naturally, but he can't give in to. This is where Brandy comes in...

This fic is not sweet or cute. It's about want and lust. About the dangers of repressing some feelings and giving in to others. About how it's sometimes difficult to know what's right. About regret and even self loathing. And about innocence and innocence lost.

It's not an easy fic, but it moved me deeply and set me rambling in the comments and also here if I don't tell myself to shut up now: Let Daisy tell her story.

Fic rec: "To hold and to have" by rubynye (Frodo/Sam) NC-17, mild bondage

Inspired by this drawing (Sam/Frodo, mild bondage, but sweet and not too explicit) by widgeon7 Ruby wrote a story. So it's the other way around in this: the drawing inspired the writing and they go together perfectly.

There's nothing like surrendering to someone you can completely trust.

I've tried to make the list as complete as possible, so it can very well be that I already know by way of your journal, or even from you personally how things are with your series, but it can very well be that someone who's reading your series through a rec of mine has missed that info.

rynalwyn is busy writing chapter 4 of "Maraon", the gorgeous William/Dominic (Billy/Dom) AU. Chapter 4 can be expected soon, and it looks like the last 2 or 3 chapters may follow quickly after that... Squee!!!
