WTF I fell in love with a trailer...
Feb. 4th, 2005 12:14 pmBecause we get just about everything last, 'The Life Aquatic' will be released in March here, so now finally I saw the trailer.
Has anybody seen the movie? I just now started googling it, and it seems to be pretty well received, as far as I can tell. I found out 5 minutes ago that it's directed by Wes Anderson, the director of 'Rushmore' and 'The Royal Tenenbaums'.
Now it so happens that I only saw 'Rushmore' for the first time last Monday. I'd recorded it once, because Elijah had said it was his favorite movie (well, it was in 2001, I don't know if it still is, but at least he'll still love the movie). He'd auditioned for the role of Max, and I can see why. Jason did a perfect job though, but I couldn't help thinking of Elijah in that role. God, he would have enjoyed that so much! Also I thought that maybe he'd had that movie in mind when he did 'Try 17'.
I'm getting sidetracked here, aren't I?
'The Life Aquatic' doesn't remind me of Elijah, but I love Bill Murray in movies like these. Cate Blanchet is in it too. She also was in that other movie with Elijah. And didn't Elijah say that he loved 'Groundhog Day', watched it multiple times. Bill Murray was the leading actor in that one. Why does everything I like and love seem to lead back to Elijah somehow?!
What was the point of this entry again? *confused*
[edit] Bottomline: I'm really looking forward to 'The Life Aquatic'!!
