I've got a little problem here.

I'm not sure how to put this, but I've noticed something. Writers like feedback and I'm always all for giving that. I try to give feedback as much as possible. I can understand when a writer feels discouraged when they don't get feedback. But if a writer for some reason doesn't like working on a certain series anymore or isn't interested anymore in what used to be her favorite pairing/subject/fandom they shouldn't be pissed at the readers for asking for sequels. You want to move on? That's fine. I'll move on when I feel like it, which may be tomorrow or not ever, I don't know yet. If were moving in different directions, let's just give high fives, wish each other good luck but don't piss on the other person's choice.
Don't blame people for liking what you wrote and wanting more. I won't blame writers for having a writers block or even for losing interest in what they were writing, but there are a couple of writers around here that I feel I've wasted time on trying to stimulate them, not because they won't write what I would like them to write, but because they're now suddenly irritated at me for being interested in something they're not interested in anymore.
I'm interested in rps and fps, a wide variety of it. If you move from LOTR to HP I may follow. If you move from Elijah to the guy who plays Remus I won't. If you move from slash to mainstream I won't, no matter how wonderful a writer you are, I'm here for the slash. You don't have to write what I like, I don't have to read what I don't like, just because you happened to write what I liked. But don't hate me for liking what you wrote and I won't hate you for not writing what I like. Ok?
And another thing: don't get mad when people turn out to have friended you 'just' for your writing but aren't interested in your sick cat, your mother-in-law's broken leg or your medication. If you're here for the recs I don't expect you to read all my personal shit and if you're not interested in my recs anymore you don't have to feel bad about unfriending me; I really won't feel offended!
And this rant is not directed at anyone person. If that were the case I would have written an email. It's a lot of irritation of lately combined.
