More The Office flailing

So last night we got to 2x9 'Email surveillance' on tv, but I've got these files sitting on my computer, so I couldn't resist, and now I kind of watched my way right up to and including 2x15 'Boys and girls' and I'm all...
Oh god, all these hilarious situations, cringing and face-palming and snickering, but also drama and surprisingly moving moments it's just great. And through it all the story of Jim and Pam.
Jim watching Pam sitting on his bed, leafing through his yearbook. And I may have sort of gasp-sighed, seeing Jim in his casual clothes.
The teapot he bought her with all the little mementos in it, and couldn't you just slap her for picking the ipod initially?!? God!
The booze cruise... Oh, I cried! I just sat there tears running down my cheeks.
And after that, of course Michael leaks the secret, and Jim tries to patch it... but the look on Pam's face when she realizes that this wasn't just some crush in the past. And at the end of 'The Carpet', Jim's face when he listens to all the messages Pam left him.
There are so many moments I want to mention for each episode; Ryan's bewilderment when Jim and Michael keep glancing up at him when Pam is on holiday, Pam's underwhelmed reaction to the question how her holiday was, Michael's irritating but also tragic character and how he sometimes surprises me into wanting to hug him. Wincing at just about everything Roy says and does (especially his 'so we're cool' talk with Jim, when he says it's so convenient Pam has someone to talk with at work, so she won't yap so much to him. Good christ almighty!!!) Also, I really love Phillis.
And now 'Boys and girls'. Pam sitting with the girls, reluctantly talking about her dreams, and Jim with the guys, listening to Roy's complaints about what girls expect of their boyfriends. Jim being supportive of Pam considering Jan's offer, and just knowing Roy will talk her out of it. And of course I cried when Pam cried *g*
The combination of writing, the way the camera silently comments on what happens and the performances is just brilliant.
God I love this series so much...
