I wrote YouTube about my suspension, and this is their answer:
Hi,
Thanks for your email.
Your YouTube account has been suspended due to repeated or severe
violations of copyright infringement. Suspended accounts cannot be
reinstated. Neither can any of your favorites and subscriptions. Federal
law requires that we terminate accounts when there are repeated claims of
copyright infringement.

So, that's that.
The first time a clip had been taken down from my account for copyright infringement, was a Stargate fanvid. I then took down all my other Stargate related clips and vids. This time (last week) it was a clip of Elijah on MTV2, from 2002, which I know technically is copyrighted, but it's not like Viacom International Inc. (who'd been the one complaining to YouTube) will have seen sales dropping or something. But ok. Those were my 'repeated or severe violations of copyright infringement'.
I've started a new account there. Can't call it 'dutcheowyn' anymore though. Sniff. So I'm now going by the name of 'rodneyscat'. Cute huh? This time around I won't put up any clips, because even the ones I made myself are made at cons, and those organizations could file a complaint, and I don't want to risk irreversible suspension again.
