kiltsandlollies sounded a little worried when I wrote I was going to read it, I must have quite a (self-inflicted) reputation as the resident wimp ;)

No, you are not the resident wimp, silly Billy! The reason I get nervous is that when I know a friend is upset by certain things, but she wants to read my stuff anyway because she likes me/my writing, I just don't want to see that person upset. I don't want to be the cause of it, and I don't want the person to think less of me for what I wrote. I had some people email me after I wrote Penance and say things like, "I cried my eyes out after I read that, I was depressed all day, I never read that sort of thing but I did it for you and now I'm sad" blah blah, and I just wanted to yell, "then why did you read it?!?"

So basically, for me, it's a totally codependent thing. :D

Now, those of my friends who want to be upset/scared/disturbed... that I can do. >:)
