so you 'upload' pictures to a webserver in order to post them with the 'img src' code? because ftp stands for 'file transfer protocol' which is basically a fancy term for how you upload files from your hard drive to your webserver. usually you need a program to do so.

Yep, that's what I do. I get this 'box' with a window saying 'local system' on the one side, where I can browse my hard disc and 'remote site' on the other. I select what I want on my server, press the arrow and there it goes.

I just checked and yep, it says 'ftp' (among other things) in the blue bar at the top. I never noticed.

that's an ftp program :) could you tell me what the program's called? (ws_ftp, by any chance?)
