i don't think so, because...one, i don't really have time that weekend, and two, there is just no real incentive for me to go, as chances are pretty slim i'd actually get to talk to him properly.
So Billy is going to Sweden? Dang, wish I could aford to go...I need to reconnect with my swedish roots...and Pippin.
Say,you ever see that photo of Gandalf and Pippin together before? Could that have been from the scene of the fight between the Witchking and Gandalf that got cut?
It's definitely Osgiliath, as far as I'm concerned. It struck me as a scene right after Gandalf tells Pippin about a life after this one (something in Pippin's face, probably something to do with the 'make-up', made me think of that). Now you mention it I never even realized that scene wasn't in RotK although in the trailer they hint at it. I don't really know when this fight should have been but it could very well have been the same moment I thought of.
Good thing I have you, I´d completely forgotten to check their guest list - didn´t really think a Hobbit would show up actually (though, they did have Andy last year!) Well no evil customer mission planned so far - it´s a weekend after all...in fact it fits nicely inbetween the visit of my parents and C5!
I'm definitely not going, I haven't even followed it very much! I know of a couple of English people on my friendslist who are going. I really couldn't justify going to England again and going to Werchter.
You know that Swedish con has me doubting a bit?! I mean Billy... *sighs*
On the other hand, I really should stop behaving like a single! And it's not like it's a sacrifice either, it's just one of those things that make me go 'oh yeah, that's one of the downsides of having to take others into consideration'. Just because hubby (I still feel reluctant using his real name here, but it feels weird calling him 'hubby' to you!) is an easy going guy doesn't mean I'll have to take advantage of that.
No of course I see your point...it´s quite a luxury that I can do whatever I please with my time and money.
Still, just in case maybe you should check if you can get a cheap flight to Copenhagen (CPH airport is 20 min by train from Malmö). Just saying. Me bad, I know :-)
I was just starting to consider if I should give you some personal notification or something, although it would have felt a bit like I was trying to make you go! But I wouldn't have wanted you to find out about it a week after the fact or something...
You that happened to me with a Swedish band? Sometime over a year ago I bought the cd of Mando Diao and fell in love with them. I checked their site, but it looked like I was the only one checking and that included the band and the site master... Nothing was happening there, no notifications were given, the email I send didn't get answered, I gave up on the site. Then a couple of weeks ago I thought: 'let's check that site out again' and I found out that they were touring and at the beginning of this month they had given 3 concerts in The Netherlands! *bangs head on desk*
Hee! I'm very glad I found out! I haven't seen any ads on the streets yet. Thanks so much! I'm having an exam on Saturday afternoon of that week, so it's going to be a fabulous recreational thing to go the day after. I've never been to a fannish con in my life, but I have to find out how tall he is. And, y'know, listen to his voice.
...and the 10 mins or so is by bike. ;-) Sometimes, the smallness of my citytown hamlet is a very good thing.
Oh, I'm sad to hear that. :-( (Spike agrees, I'm sure.) And, I haven't told you, but that icon of yours is so pretty. ;-)
