Mnah, I wouldn't call it a really bad movie. It's slow, but I like the peronal drama. But yeah, I've only watched it once. And then a couple of times to just watch the Dom bits, because I like how he's having fun with his best mate and you gotta love a guy who shows concern and helps said mate almost tenderly (hey, can't blame me for watching these scenes with slashers eyes!). Especially when he sweats the way he does. And not many men do devastation the way Dom does.

I already had it on tape, but that's a copy from a rental with Swedish subtitles, so I'm going to tape it again.

Oh, I don't know. It's difficult for me to feel sympathy for a character that I hardly know. Just because that character is played by youthful!Dom (with, like, two lines; one of which is with an overblown Russian accent, the other is in his English accent, if I'm remembering correctly) doesn't mean I'm more affected. It's supposed to be this amazing, heart-wrenching moment when the kid dies and his best friend mourns him, but if I didn't know beforehand, I wouldn't have even known those two boys' names. That and the sub work (effects, etc) is absolutely deplorable along with the writing. I've seen almost every submarine movie ever made because of my dad being in the service, and I'll take Crimson Tide over Hostile Waters any, any day, man.

Mmm. Denzel. Mmm. Viggo.
