Been to 'De Efteling' (a Dutch amusement-park) all day today. When we got home we just ordered in pizza and after the kids went to bed I checked LJ in particular and the internet in general. Found some Elijah goodies:

I can't believe there are still people who aren't a member of dom_media yet...

Anyway, voodoo_in_tx's community has the most amazing clips: huge, (and sometimes in multiple sizes), .mpeg format. Right now she's posting clips from Comicon 2004 and she's not restricting herself to Dom: it's Billy's turn now. These clips were provided by yanks02; I've already downloaded 25 minutes worth of Scottish accent! There's more to come; Lost forum, signings, lots of Domdomdomdombadadomdom.

Really, there's no way I can host this stuff, so if you want it, you'll have to get it yourself! Just join, download, squee and say thank you.

I can't get into this tigging and it frustrates the hell out of me, because I see so many of my favorite writers being enthusiastic about it and readers with similar taste trying to help me get into it and it Just Doesn't Work For Me. I miss the headers, the ratings, the summaries. It takes forever to copy-paste them to .doc files. Here and there there are lists of threads but most of the time that's just what they are: lists of threads but no handle as how to get into it, what it's all about. Updates usually consist of writers happily shouting they've tigged another h0r (I'd be happy to never see that expression again by the way...).

I want to make one exception though:

anatsuno's 'Establishment D/E Masterlist' which is organized, conveniently arranged, with an accurate and perfectly clear rating system. It's updated every now and then and gives the opportunity to ask questions.

These are observations, no accusations. If writers want to write this way, then so be it. And there's an audience for it too, so it's not something that bothers everyone.

But yeah, some of you have lost a reader in me. And I bloody miss you.

[edit] Originally I disallowed comments, because I don't want to give the impression that I expect people to defend themselves, because nobody needs to; everybody's free to do whatever they want to do and I'm free not to like it. Just like that. And nobody needs to feel like they should have another go at trying to get me into this stuff. Nobody needs to feel obliged to do anything. It's just my official 'I give up' notice, with explanation. And some pouting and sulking, ok, I admit. *pouts and sulks*
