A new part in this series is up (earlier recs can be found here and here).

I'm hooked on this. These young men with their totally different backgrounds, who learn to look at things differently. They both have been (and are going) through a lot, but they stay down to earth, dealing with everything in the best way they can manage and enjoying the good moments without wallowing in the things that can't be changed. But some things can be changed, that's what Orli is trying to make Elijah see. And I think there are some things that Elijah can help Orli with too.

[livejournal.com profile] arabia764 and I have talked a bit about what happened to Elijah that's made him the way he is. It's not something you can't see coming, but I felt I wanted to give this series a non-con warning. Arabia didn't feel about it as non-con; Maybe it's dubious-con or more mind washing, but that's way too hard to explain in a warning. Anyway, I thought I'd mention it. Frankly, I'm curious what other people think about it, and I'll try to explain the way I see it in a comment, to avoid spoilers in this entry.

part 2

part 5
rodneyscat: (frodo come)
a sweetly erotic pre-quest fic. A bit bittersweet, because we know what's going to happen, but that's only lingering in the background. For now it's Sam blissfully being seduced by Frodo, who doesn't let a good opportunity and the right mood pass him by unused.
rodneyscat: (dom/elijah tongue)
Everybody has at least heard mention of The Establishment and the Dom/Elijah part that [livejournal.com profile] anatsuno and [livejournal.com profile] almostnever have been writing for god knows how long now, right?

It's one of the easiest accessible rpg's that I know of, and that's saying a lot because I'm horrible with rpg's and tigs and stuff! Always walking around dazed and confused and clueless as can be. But here's one that I can leave lying for weeks or even months and than step into again smoothly as you please.

Like with this new installment. I'm linking to [livejournal.com profile] almostnever's entry for that, because she has put together a great introduction that will lead you into the fic in just a few words, or by way of a tour around their rpg. Your choice.

I love 'To the mat' for it's passion. There's a conflict, there's heated and rough sex that doesn't solve the conflict but at least eases some of the tension. They'll talk, I'm sure of it. And they love each other, I'm sure of that too.

A rec of one of these installments is never complete without a link to [livejournal.com profile] anatsuno's masterlist, where you can find links to everything that's been written so far, indications of parts that still have to be written and everything neatly tagged with what you can expect in each individual part.

If you need something to improve your mood, play Frank Zappa's Apostrophe('), really.

And my mood didn't even need improving.
