...I'm also going to do it:

1. Go to my userinfo page.
2. Pick one person on my friends list you're curious about.
3. Comment with their username.
4. And I will tell you all about them. (Well, all I know and feel free to share anyway.)

I'm going to bed now, so it's going to take a while before I reply!

Jumping in here, since D_E's gone to bed. Don't you have [livejournal.com profile] iolanthe_rosa friended?? You definitely should! I'm sure you and her would get along great! I could tell you more about her, but I'll let D_E do that, OK? ;)

I already knew her a little from a couple of yahoo groups (although it took me a while to figure out that the 2 or 3 names she went by were actually the same person...) and she already commented in my LJ when she didn't have one yet. We share a love for Elijah and were starting to perve over Dom when I found out she wrote slash! This resulted in a fic she dedicated to me *blushing happily* and one of my first icons *points*. Her first 5 fics were 'published' in my LJ until she started her own and now she has her own webspace on [livejournal.com profile] dorrie6's site. She's one of my favorite writers and beta's for several others. Interesting to know that her mother also has a LJ and writes E.R. fem-slash!!

She's very happily married (celebrated her 20th anniversary recently), has 2 children, used to have an intense job in computering (I think... I'm very bad at trying to explain these things about jobs and studies in English!), stopped that first to be a full time housewife but has picked up a study that has something to do with law (right?!). It think she's also a trainee for this study. She's extremely fond of and good at gardening, especially her poppies, and makes gorgeous pictures of her flowers.

She's intelligent, loyal, has a wicked sense of humor and doesn't spare herself (which doesn't mean she puts herself down, she knows her own worth, and I love that about her too). She knows very well when the situation calls for seriousness, isn't afraid to show her anger or concern but she also knows how to put things into perspective.

I'm very proud of the fact that I made her default icon.

She's a bouncy young woman from England who friended me some time ago and I've grown to love for her honesty, her direct way in expressing what she loves, likes and dislikes. She's such a positive person! Always comes in with a cloud of enthusiasm around her, has this ability to be happy with little things and is very generous with her enthusiasm; one of those people whose comments and feedback I see all over the place, because she wants people to know she's thankful for what she's getting; she never takes anything for granted and makes you feel you're special.

It didn't take me long to friend her back, because she provides sparkle to LJ.

Initially I friended her because of her fics (which can be found here (http://www.wanzer.org/molly/hobbiton/index.html) and I have to mention she designed her site herself, and imho it's the most beautiful, clear, easy to navigate fic site out there and it's not the first time I've said that either) but now I'm staying even if she'd never write another fic ever.

She's very happily married and has a son. I love how she's open about her marriage, about her daily life, how she uses her journal to tell about the things that make her happy, things that strike her and things she needs to get off of her chest because she's worried about the same things I'm worried about in this society and quite frankly also because it's lovely to read about her lovelife that's just as wonderful as mine and it gives me an excuse to be open about that myself also *blushing*

In a way, she always reminds me of a hobbit lass: open in her emotions, ready to cry or laugh out loud, always wanting to see the good in things and enjoy life to the max and completely unreserved in her love for her husband, child and friends on- and off-line.

I have such a weak spot for her! She's written one of the most moving and sweet/hot Dom/Elijah fics ever and after I'd read that one I checked her journal and found more goodies. After that I kept coming back, commenting to random entries, because she always manages to write in a way that's inviting for me to react even if she's writing about nothing spectacular really.

Some time ago she started dating a guy and she was sort of appologetic about her gushing, but after poking her a bit I think she's begun to understand that we love reading about that too: she's just such a natural writer!

Her fic writing goes in fits and starts (I get the expression right now, don't I?), sometimes she's mourning and moping over a writers block and sometimes she just shakes them out of her sleeve it seems, once the inspiration hits her. The funny thing is, she can write about her writers block in such an interesting way...

She's such a bundle of concentrated emotion! Bubling with idea's, sees opportunities everywhere, immediately sets out to try and get others to be enthusiastic with her, takes the hugest chunks of work happily onto her own shoulders. Nothing can infuriate, frustrate and irritate her more than when people break promises, or take advantage of her. She's energetic in everything she does, and she does a lot!

I can't mention hope without mentioning The Faculty: she's more than just a fan, she's an authority where it comes to this movie and everything that has anything to do with it. She's not beyond making fun of her own obsession though :D Fact remains that she's obsessed!

Come to think of it; self-knowledge is one of her strongest points I guess. Her LJ name is self-explanatory in that respect: she can angst about a lot of things, but always manages to perk up and keep going with the same enthusiasm as before.

She's got a fic journal called [livejournal.com profile] pervygrapefruit (if she's still got that one...) Everything else I would have to check from her LJ and I'm not supposed to do that of course, that's not what this 'game' is about!

I'm 18, starting college at LSU in the fall, and I play the Clarinet. I go through spells with updating my journal, highly active for a few months, then almost completely dry for a few more. I love Lord Of The Rings--books, movies, and especially the actors--but that obsession is dying down pretty rapidly. I still support the actors, and am up to date with their career moves (okay, only Dom and Elijah's), but I don't read the fanfiction anymore. Today I find myself emersed in Harry Potter essays and fanfiction, activly trying to squeeze all of my interests into a major, and reading my friends page more than updating.

Dommie is my favourite! I used to play clarinet, but I sucked so I quit.
I've been out of HP for too long, but I'm slowly edging back in. It's been ages since I've read an essay, and I've got no idea on any about what any of the new theories etc are, lol. I tend to read others more than I update too

She's the quiet one on my friendslist. She wants people to enjoy this fandom and every time some major storm comes over it and people are running around wanking on the one hand and weeping on the other and all being overly emotional, she'll come up with a carefully worded entry which puts it all into perspective and makes me think 'shit yeah, why didn't I write this entry?'. The answer of course is: 'because it's bloody difficult to make complicated situations sound clearly structured.'

She can write these things, have them over and done with and go back to what this fandom really is all about: loving the books, loving the movies, loving everyone who made it possible and sharing that love.

For me personally she also manages to be there with the right words at the right time. She's very sensitive and considerate that way, because I've seen her do that in other people's journals too. (Although it's mostly something I notice through other people's reactions, because she's very much a person to support in the background.)

I'll keep this short, because I'm not quite sure what I can share about her without making her uncomforable!

She's an incredibly talented writer who is way too insecure about her writing. I think she's feeling better about it now though, now that she's got a group of friends here on LJ with whom she tigs for their own pleasure mostly (and for those who happen to get drawn into their wonderful world of tigs).

She's also a huge Billy and Dom fan who loves to scan the internet intensively for the latest news and goodies (pics, downloads etc) and loves sharing those without taking the credit for finding it. You can practically see her LJ-name glow when she sees people being enthusiastic about something she found.

Ah, we only started talking some weeks ago. We 'bonded' over our mutual love for some specific (but rare) pairings and I loved talking with her about it. Also she pointed me in the direction of some fics and LJ-users that were completely new to me, but all very exciting and wonderful. I read her user-info and decided I wanted to get to know her better, and I'm now in that stage of 'getting to know her better'. So far she's exactly the sparkling and interesting (for example, she finds all kinds of articles and newsbits that are weird, fun or fascinating) person I'd expected her to be.

There's not much that I know about her personally (she's a slash writer in several fandoms, who lives together with her girlfriend and has a site (http://twib.oscillating.net/stories.html)).

She has a completely unique style where it comes to writing. Most of her fics have a certain surreal feel to it; they're weird in a good way. But there's also very much tenderness and kindness in her fics. Some people just see the weird (although for me that's one of the attractions) and get the uncomfortable feeling that maybe she's not kidding. I think she's got an incredible sense of humor.

To be quite honest, it pains me some to see her getting so little feedback; either people are really squicked by her fics or they're just afraid to admit they enjoy them.

I've loved her fics ever since I first read her 'Cherry Tart' (an Elijah/Daniel fic) and wrote her about it in October 2002 (!).

I can't help myself:

If you want to try something by her, 'Weather' (http://twib.oscillating.net/weather.html) is an incredibly sweet and funny Orlijah. 'Bite' (http://twib.oscillating.net/bite.html) is one of the most disturbing Dom/Elijah fics I've ever read.

She's a lovely woman! I friended her over a year ago after I noticed I kept coming across fics that were rec'ed by her. She's very broadminded and energetic. She's not afraid to give her opinion and (something that's more rare) she's not afraid to revise or adjust that opinion either.

I've met her in person at C4 and she's disarmingly enthusiastic, talkative with a profound American accent. She's not the flagwaving 'America's best' kind of person however.

Having met her, it's kind of hard to realize she also struggles with depression at times, and it's not something that's obvious from her LJ immediately, it's something you learn about in time, because she's open about it in a modest way: you can read about it if you want, but she absolutely doesn't put it in your face.

She's got a job in software (I'm not sure what exactly), she's happily married with 3 children and I really feel a bond like that, because her children are about the same age as mine, and it's always a pleasure to read about someone who's as fond of her husband as I am of mine.
