So they've changed back from three to four days after all...

Up until yesterday only Faithless was confirmed. Now they were on my list of 'wanna see groups', so that was nice, but I knew they were coming since November last year and I was getting damn curious by now. Especially because some interesting names started popping up for other festivals that traditionally have matching groups listed.

I checked this morning and yay, an update. Some goodies for completely different reasons: REM, NIN, Chemical Brothers, Elvis Costello, Keane, Rammstein, Ozark Henri and QOTSA. Some I'm curious about because I don't know them (all that well) or haven't got a clue how they'll be live: Tom Mcrae, Soulwax, Pennywise, Audioslave. And enough moments to go grab some lunch or queue for the toilets: Within Temptation, Jamie Cullum... *ducks*

Looks like I'm going again this year.

(I'm still hoping for some names that are up at Pinkpop but not at Werchter (yet) *keeps fingers crossed*)

[edit] (because I know you were all dying to know this) My wishlist going by Pinkpop: The Frames, Bloc Party, The Prodigy, Di-rect (shut up, they're cute) and Beef.

Now I *know* old age has caught up with me, d_e! I recognised TWO names on this list. And I have never heard anything by either of them. (Costello and Chemical Bros, in case you needed to know!)A Crumbly I am, indeed. Ah, me!

Hope you enjoy it anyway, my love. I'm sure you will.

You know The Chemical Brothers, but not REM?! It can't have anything to do with 'old age' then that you don't know many of the names that are listed!

Oh, heck! My son has REM stuff. I just do not move in these circles. I'm very ignorant of poular culture, I'm afraid...except slash!

QOTSA!!! I saw them on a lineup for one of the Swiss festivals recently... can't remember which one, though, and these things are always at very inconvenient places for someone who lives so far away from everything anyway... *sigh*

I saw them two years ago at the same festival, and it was a bit of a disappointment then, because they didn't really connect with the audience. It sounded good, but like they might as well have played the cd real loud. I'd expected more of a live feeling you know, more sparkle.

I now know what to expect though, so I think I'll enjoy it more this time, because they were really good.

Wow.

I'd sure as hell go if it was anywhere near where I lived. Looks like an absolutely great line up.

I'll have to travel a bit to get there myself, but I prefer this Belgium festival to any of the Dutch ones.

Within Temptation is horrible live. You really won't miss out if you're going off for a slash or a bite to eat when they are on stage. Rammstein is excellent live, worth seeing for the pyrotechnics and halfnaked manmeat alone.

I've seen WT before, and they're repeating themselves horribly, almost like a self-caricature. Ah, I know you love Rammstein. You've been to their concert last November haven't you? I've never seen them live.

I didn't go in the end. I sold my ticket and went to the dolls and bearshow in the Ahoy the next day with my mum. You really want to see them though, their liveshow is awesome.

Euhm...I think it'll still be four days. They had something on the news here, about the hospital complaining that's too long and people will suffer from exhaustion and stuff.
I'm buying my ticket as soon as they'll be selling them on the 19th, made sure to keep some cash on the side from my summer-job.

Oh, and Bloc Party is great live! I saw them at Pukkelpop last year, they played in the wee tent for about a hundred people (there was some big band on the main stage at the same time) but I think that was part of the magic, the people in there really wanted to be there and hear them.

Personally I think 3 days would be enough, but I know I'll be tempted to go the full four days anyway so as not to miss anything.

I really want to see Bloc Party! I'm hoping their name will pop up too. The list isn't nearly complete yet if they want to fill a four day program.

Indeed! Cards go on sale March 19th by the way, that's when you'll be gone still. Should I just order a ticket for you too?
