My youngest son made me this:

(made out of paper, at school)

Daughter and oldest son made me this:

(made out of wood, they designed and made this themselves. The fact that they worked on this together and they both went on about what the other had thought of, figured out and was particularly good at making, thrilled me more than I can tell)

For those of you who worry about such things: I made sure I squeed in equal amounts for each or my three kids!

Hubby gave me an excellent bottle of red wine. After the kids had gone to bed, we drank the bottle while watching 'Better than sex'.

He just went off to bed. Guess what I'm going to do now.

Bye!

Aw, so pretty and creative!
We celebrate Mothering Sunday here in March; do you celebrate it the same day as in the States?

From reading my flist I understand that indeed we celebrate it the same day as in the States. I don't know why this date was chosen anyway. Is there something like a fathers day in other countries, like there is here?

You're kids are the bestest.

So you ogled David Wenham's naked ass in celebration of mother's day. I like that, somehow :-)

Voor de liefste moeder van der wereld Lol, I don't have to speak Dutch to understand that! Lovely gifts! I got a card with my son's handprint on it (his hand is almost as big as mine!) and a bouquet of construction paper flowers from my daughter. Each flower is a "gift certificate" that makes her be nice to Henry on demand. I'm saving those for a special occasion.

He just went off to bed. Guess what I'm going to do now.
I bet it's something that's better than "Better Than Sex."

Hahah! Great present of your daughter! Yeah, those flowers will come in handy I'm sure :D

About what I did last night: After half a bottle of wine I'm useless. I always forget, but once I hit my pillow I'm fast asleep!

Wow, you have talented children!

Guess what I'm going to do now

Look at the children when there sleeping? (like in one of my favorite movies:The World According to Garp...)

I dug up my copy of Garp to look up the scene you're talking about and then I got so caught up I've started reading the whole book for the umpteenth time! It's one of my all time favorites :D

Well, I'm glad I made you do that...
I read the book after I saw the movie and I'm absolutely addicted to both.

It also made me love John Lithgow... I mean, I had mine removed surgically under general anesthesia. But to have it bitten off in a Buick...

Priceless...
