Tomorrow we're going to celebrate Sinterklaas with my parents. I've got all the presents packed. Seventeen poems written and printed. A couple of surprise gifts (traditionally a gentle way of making fun of each other) are all done.

I've been a good girl, and haven't gone looking for Teh Discs, but damn I want to see the pilot and squee with slipperieslope and princessofg!!!

In the meantime I'll just play the blue button game a couple of times more. (God, I'm sooooooo bad at games like these!! *plays anyway*)

[edit] spell check doesn't understand the word 'Sinterklaas' and suggests 'Sentinel' heheheheheh...

Well, my parents will be visiting, and we'll have the gift-giving part, but I can't very well immediately start watching while they're still there... I could glare at them until they leave

Oh yeah, you told me you had some Sinterklaas like celebration over where you live. Officially he brings the presents in the night from December 5th to the 6th, but we moved the actual celebration to Sunday 4th, because my parents are from another town, and this is more convenient.

Plus I'll have my dvd's sooner ;p

What exactly *is* Sentinel? Is it a TV series or a film, and what is it about?

The Sentinel was a TV series that lasted 4 seasons, from 1996 to 1999. Jim is a big guy, a cop, ex army, who has hightened senses; hearing, sight, smell etc. He doesn't know how he got that way, or how to handle it, how to control those senses. Blair is a student, geeky, energetic cute as hell. He happens to be studying the phenomemon and wants to make a case study of Jim. In return he offers to help Jim understand and control his senses.

The chemistry between these two is lovely, whether you want to look at it as 'just' friendship or with slashy eyes.

I came into it by way of the fanfiction. There's an amazing lot of great fanfiction. Great archives. Lots of wonderful sites with clips, episode transcripts, screencaps etc.

I'm very much in love with Jim and Blair and basically the whole fandom makes me giddy :D

I will! It's one of my favorite celebrations of the year, if not the most favorite.
