I'm watching it now, and I just had to share this pretty little spoiler: John whacked Rodney's head. I swear it's love.

Thank you, I'll now resume watching. (Watching on my own sucks. Can't a couple of you fellow SGA fans come over from the USA and Canada and the UK and where-ever you live, for the next episode? I'll have drinks and snacks...)

[edit] Done now.

Totally random:

It was so damn hard seeing the city get damaged so badly (loved John's remark on how he was trying to get the drones to hit the parts he least liked.)

I could barely take Jack's underwater scene! Sat there gasping and watching from between my fingers, moaning and groaning.

I love Rodney so very, very, very much, with a deep and warm passion.

Team-love!

Rodney/John love!

Oh, and Rodney being trapped underwater in a leaking jumper again... *holds him tight*

Teyla stepping inside that room all tough with two guns, firing away (her scene before that, in preparation of taking the drone-chair, was already gah...) There was not enough Teyla in this.

And look how mean these replicators were: they pulled Ronon's hair!!!! How low can you get?!

Oh, and in the scene with the whole team in prison, the look between Rodney and Ronon. They are starting to reluctantly appreciate each other more. I like that.

I will never get enough of Rodney's expressive face and gestures.

Good plan they had, although risky, because they fully relied on Rodney's ability to sound convincing when he lied to Richard and Jack, which huh, Rodney isn't very good at usually. Thinking back on that scene, it does feel right on hindsight; he sounds like something is off, too highpitched and wide-eyed.

Loved John's slap upside Rodney's head, I really really did.

I love how Elizabeth occasionally can't help but want to hug her guys, and how awkward that makes them ♥

I would totally set up a time to watch together and chat at the same time, if you want to. :-) Let me know.

I'd love the idea, if it weren't for my chat-phobia... Seriously, I've tried chat, but it always left me sweating with nerves because of the idea that someone is waiting on the other side for me to finally get something typed together. I want to type, check, double-check, spell-check and preferably be able to go back and edit [/basket-case]

With someone sitting on my couch I wouldn't have to bother about spelling and such; squeeing and shoulder-nudging and such don't require that :D

Hee, okay then, god knows it's stressful enough to watch David Hewlett being fabulous without adding spellcheck stress to the mix! lol. I swear that man will give me a heart attack one day. :-)

Oh, and I just watched it a second time, together with my daughter (because that's what I should have done in the first place, but I was impatient *g*), and was reminded of something that made me grin, being from the lotr/lotrips fandom: Beckett's 'done and done'.

I swear I was holding my breath during the Jack underwater scene, lol. I thought the same thing about Ronon - I mean, they pulled his HAIR! :( And yeah, Rodney was a bit manic during the "give everything away" scene, which was a nice touch. Didn't Elizabeth sound like she wanted to launch herself at Rodney when she thanked him for the Plan D? It was the first time I ever remember thinking (while actually watching the show), "kiss him!" Or at least hug him :P.

Manic! Yeah, that was the word I was looking for! And even the second time watching I expected Elizabeth to draw Rodney into a hug; it felt like she had the urge, but restrained herself. And I so desperately want Rodney to be hugged by someone. Have you read [livejournal.com profile] cesperanza's '3 lovers' (http://trickster.org/speranza/cesper/Lovers.html)? Rodney through Teyla's eyes is exactly the way I see him. It's also a fic that satisfies my craving for het and slash equaly, especially when it comes to Rodney. *sleeps on him*

Oh, I wish I could come and watch with you! Wasn't that a splendid episode? I can pick nits with some of it, but mostly I loved it. John's trademarked upside-the-head slap of love! Rodney's eyes and eyelashes and his enormous BRAIN! Ronon looking so very cool and hot simultaneously! TEYLA! Except there was far too little of her in the show. Even Weir was pretty cool.

*happy sigh*

Bless the Canadians and the internet for making it possible for us to watch.

Something OT, or not, that I've been meaning to ask you: I saw you're a member of the [livejournal.com profile] peg2con community; does that mean you're going? Because I've got a ticket, and I don't know anyone else who does.

No, I only wish I were going. I joined the community so I could read about who was going and what they were going to do.

Now I really wish I were going, so we could meet up. That would be so much fun.

No money and no time, unfortunately. So you'll have to attend vicariously for me -- and many others.

Heh, I kind of overlooked the fact that you'd have to come from the USA, d'oh... A not so minor detail that! Damn...

lol, I knew that would make you happy! I wrote a little something on my journal too.

The replicators were mean to all members. Notice how they manhandled Carson, even though he smiled and said "easy, easy". And how Sheppard was thrown in to jail.

I was a bit taken aback, that the replicators could overcome Ronon so easily, but in hindsight we know why!

About McKay/O'Neill/Woolsey scene. I was wondering about McKay talking and explaining the whole time, instead of working at the door. But otherwise he was pretty good at acting, everybody was. To think the headslap was part of that acting too! I guess , Sheppard couldn't resist to have a bit of fun.

Bwahahahaaha! Yeah, that was one of the first things I thought too when it was clear it had all been an act! Whoa, he thwapped Rodney, when Rodney was doing exactly as planned! I doubt the headslap was part of the plan as Rodney had in mind ;p

It was so funny seeing the headslap right after all the reports about Kate headslapping David at Burbank Con!

The one thing that was bugging me was the giant "plot hole" of John leaving Jack and Woolsey conscious after they'd learned the plan -- like no way would John be that stupid. Whew! He wasn't! And I'm sure it just added to Jack knowing something else was going on.

And look how mean these replicators were: they pulled Ronon's hair!!!! How low can you get?!

BWAH!

So much for the Ancients. Hope the Tau'ri got some interesting intel out of them before they all bit the dust.

I hadn't even thought about that particular 'plothole', but you're right; that's also something that should have made me go 'bzuh?'. This is definitely an episode to watch multiple times, that's for sure!

I'd come over, simply because I like the company, but I don't know a lot about SGA, as you know. I'm willing to learn, though. ;D

Are you following the series on tv now? Anne told me they were up to 'The eye', which is episode 11. If the next up is indeed episode 12, then I highly recommend that one! 'The defiant one' is one of my favorite episodes. The one after that 13: 'Hot Zone' is also amazing (both 'McKay heavy' as David would say) Then 14 and 15 are two of my least favorites but 16 and 17 (especially 17: Letters from Pegasus, which is a favorite of loads of SGA fans!) really sparked the Rodney loving flame for me!

I just checked and next up (http://veronica.sbs.nl/modules.php?name=special&site=televisienieuws&sid=4971&rubrieknaam=) is indeed 'The Defiant one'.

Dude, read that comment again and it sounded mean.

I understand it's hard to read everything, I'm just looking around for other SGA fans to squee with.

That's better... :)
