Last night Mr. D_E, the kids and I went to see 'Transformers'.
Going by the trailers I'd expected (hoped) to be blown away, and that didn't happen. It is a movie to be seen in the theater though, because the machines are awesome, and so is the sound. The humor is pretty lame most of the time, as is the 'romance', the characters stereotype to the extreme, not everyUS air-force promo scene with pilots walking needs to be in slo-mo, nor do all the scene's with heli's lifting off need to be back-lit with a beautiful orange sunset.
It's entertaining though, damn spectacular. Just don't expect a fetching story.
Also: American actors/actresses need to step away from the tooth-bleach.
