I haven't seen a single Battlestar Galactica episode and don't know much about it, but I do know Callum Keith Rennie plays a part in it and I am interested in him. What I keep seeing on my semi-regular quest for CKR stuff, is snippets/screencaps from a make-out scene that involves him, one of the female leads of the series and a lot of paint (I think it is paint anyway). Can anyone tell me which episode this is from?

It all looks so dark and serious to me... I like a bit of humor with my Scifi, like they have in SG-1, SGA, Firefly, Supernatural and Life on Mars. Or do I get the wrong impression of Battlestar Galactica?

Yeah, BSG is pretty dark and intense. Even when they do cut loose and have some fun, there's a slightly hysterical dancing-at-the-edge-of-the-apocalypse feel to it.

CKR is a fabulous character or rather cylon series in the show. He has a good sized part in the original miniseries and then the ep they linked you to here was terrific. And I don't think he could really be classified as a 'baddie' - he had integrity and other peeps proved to be less honorable than he. Now, I am wondering if he will be recurring later in the shows run... he was very, very intriguing to me ; )

BSG is definitely a series I'm going to try. It's at the top of on my list, together with Prince of Tennis (because it's something I would never think of trying if there weren't so many people whose taste I share that seem to enjoy the series) and Farscape (because hello; Claudia Black!!).
