(I don't think they'll grant those Sam/Jack shippers their wish, and Rodney and Jeniffer don't look like they're on a date but more like they're attending a scientific meeting together, but I sure hope at least Rodney is getting laid.)

I love all ships in theory and hate harshing anyone's squee, but there's something about people demanding the PTB confirm what they want in the gateverse, or any verse, that rubs me the wrong way somehow.

No opinion on the SGA stuff, but HUGS just the same.

Yeah, I thought about my different reactions, and came to the conclusion that it's not at all about saying boo to Jack/Sam while saying yay to Rodney/Jennifer; it's just that I don't like the banner waving in front of the studio to try and push them into confirming the pairing of their choice.

With Rodney and Jennifer I'm mostly hoping for some flirting. I like to see Rodney squirm and fumble :D
And I like Jennifer; she could use some rooting for, because apparently she's not liked all that much by some of the fans. I've missed most of that, but I've seen some mention of it, even by Jewel herself, which makes me sad.

A real relationship would probably get in the way of my John/Rodney loving, so I don't think I'd want that. Although I kind of do...

The thing is, what I would really want is for John and Rodney to get it on in canon, and that won't happen I'm sure, but I really want Rodney to get some with someone who can handle him and really appreciates him, so Jennifer is the next best thing I guess.

Oh god, we've had Jack, Sam and Teal'c in SGA and now Daniel coming up; you still don't wanna try?! I miss Sam, she was awesome as a leader of Atlantis.

I'm sure I am doomed to start watching SGA eventually, but I will probably just pick and choose the episodes that have my original team in them.

I am amazed at people that can juggle several fandoms at once, honestly. I don't have any cable or satellite channels, and have still not gotten the hang of watching things via downloads, either legit or bootleg. I have some software issues I've not taken the time to iron out.

You would be shocked at how little TV I actually watch. I literally never watch TV. There's just too much going on in my RL. I have enjoyed SG1 totally on DVDs. Not in real time.

But that's just me. I know I am a fandom mutant. I think my favorite character on SGA would be Ronon or maybe Teyla or possibly John. But I have seen, like three episodes.

I'll just be over here in the tide pool of SG1, fuddy duddy that I am!

I have to say I'm one of the people who's not wild about Jennifer, mostly because the writers haven't decided who she is and she's been all over the map. I was the same about Cam in s9. (And of course I don't want any permanent roadblocks to McShep.) Some flirty dating for a while ? Eh. As long as I don't have to see too much of it ...

There's a Trio outtake in the DVD?! You mean that bit of dialog between Carter and Keller? Did that actually make the DVD?

And you know what I just realized? Jeniffer is kind of a Mary-Sue for me... I so identify with her! So for me, where the writers have left some blanks, I'm perfectly willing to fill them in myself. And what I recognize in her; she's not the cuddly kind of woman and she's not very easy-going. She used to be sort of a loner in high-school but still she's not too shy to flirt.

Yup, that Trio dialogue scene is in the deleted scenes. (And we never get the Jack/Daniel wedding outtakes? Grrr.)
