Merlin related, starting with Colin and Bradley on 'Something for the Weekend'.

Yesterday I found a decent torrent. I made clips of the bits where they were actually on (because the whole program is 90 minutes and not all that interesting) and uploaded them to my Imeem account.

Someone else uploaded a compilation clip of the show to YouTube.

Caps from the show can be found here and here, and the latter also has a transcript.

In other media, here's an older interview with Colin Morgan, from before he was on Merlin.

SGA episode 'The Prodigal' related.

I made 4 (spoiler) clips from the episode and added them to my YouTube account.

[livejournal.com profile] dogeared wrote a little episode tag 'Finish line' that's small but still made my heart swell with Rodney/John love.

*headdesk* OK! OK! You pimped me in! I'm watching. :-D

Thanks for those imeems! Holy crap, Bradley's even prettier than he is on the show! Loved the tight T shirt, and the close-ups on his hands while he was cooking. And Colin's adorable! I love his Irish accent, and yay, he's a veg! (I also loved Bradley's little heart bump for Colin at the beginning, and Colin's adoring look at Bradley when he's talking about sword fighting at the end. Don't make me RPS them!)

ETA: If they ever make a film of Terry Pratchett's Mort, I want to play the character of Mort.

OMG he'd be PERFECT!!! *smishes this idea to bits*

Originally I'd added a line to this entry flailing over Colin being a vegetarian, wanting to play Mort in the event of a Terry Pratchett movie and being a Terry Gilliam fan :D

I don't get any rps vibes with Colin and Bradley. They seem like good colleagues rather than friends. It looks like they get along just fine, but somehow I don't see them hanging out together or anything.

Don't get me wrong though, Bradley seems like a nice guy to me, and I particularly loved the ping-pong story he did, hahahah!!

Oh, they don't hang all over each other (yet?) like the LOTR or SPN boys--I'm not saying I'm tinhatting them. But they give each other enough sweet looks that I could read or write it! It doesn't take much to make me slash. :-)

Hm, maybe it's even kind of nice like this. I can see a 'opposites attract' thing happening, where there's slowly something sweet growing between them.

Ok, right, now you have me going there too...

Ok, ok, I'll give it a try... *longsuffering sigh*

I saw you'd friended [livejournal.com profile] merlinxarthur, and then noticed the rpf community too, but it didn't look like anything was happening there yet. By the way, maybe [livejournal.com profile] merlin_eps is something for you too?

There's one good one there so far, and I expect more will come along. :-D

I belong to [livejournal.com profile] dramatic_eps, which is meeting my needs. Once your starter posts got me up to speed! Excellent pimpage, my dear.

I just found the downside of a comm like [livejournal.com profile] merlinrpf: you can't point out the fics you particularly like, because they're members only...

(I actually prefer rps to be locked, the fact that you can't rec the fics in the usual way is just a minor disadvantage.)

Huh. I didn't even notice the posts were locked! They link to unlocked fics in people's journals. Still, thanks for pointing it out--now I'm asking folks if they mind me putting them on my recs page. *fingers crossed* (Sajee's new one? Very funny!)

Coming from Lotrips, everything's unlocked. And J2 is everywhere. But Stargate RPF comms tend to be locked. Strange how the different fandoms are.

Oh, I'd just assume that if people link to an unlocked post, it would be ok to rec them, since they meant for their fic to be public. Of course the (wee) fic I wanted to rec is only up at the comm itself (and I hadn't even checked if others were directing to unlocked posts for their fics).

Yeah, I noticed that difference too. I've tried coming up with explanations, for myself, but none of them really hold up. For me when I was in Lotrips I never felt like they would see the fics. That they were aware of them, maybe even checked some out, on purpose, but it wouldn't be in their faces too much. With SGA I feel like Joe and David are so very, very married, and David is practically looking over our shoulders. It freaked the hell out of me when Joe Mallozzi (who is in no way slashable, but is connected to those who are, and his blog gets read by people from both sides) reacted in his blog to some lj posts. That got a little too close for me!

I don't know how it works with J2. I know the rps is freely available, and I think I heard the guys are aware of it, but I don't know how active they are on the internet.

Oh, true! I know Sean B. and Orlando talk about not being online at all (though Orlando's mother is! I'm sure she learned to skirt fic sites fast!). Viggo has his blog, but I can't imagine anyone less interested in vanity Googling himself. ;-)

DH, I think, would find the slash funny. He has a pretty good finger on the pulse of the Net zeitgeist. Joe Mallozzi reading JF/DH slash gives me the heebie jeebies to think of!

I'm sure Jared and Jensen are aware of slash, but I don't think either of them spends a lot of time online either.

I have a feeling that the management/publicists for a lot of the actors like to keep track just to know how popular their clients still are.

Hahah! Yeah, I kind of didn't mention anything about those clips actually *points at reply to green_grrl* because I figured I'd been saying quite enough about them lately and I don't want anyone to get sick of it all. Also, I may not have noticed that particular tidbit

As for that last remark: that's boy, singular...

Oh that was great fun. Love Colins accent (though I did really have to concentrate very hard to understand everything he was saying!) and Bradley cooking was hilarious...he was clearly not at all comfortable with that blender. But gosh he is very good looking indeed.

Speaking of which: The oldest was all indulgent smiles and nods when I talked about my weekend in London, but perked up considerably at the mention of pasta with salmon and tomatoes saying 'you did ask for the recipe, didn't you?!'

And since I didn't: care to share? *makes cute puppy eyes*
