I've got a period coming up for days now, but it just won't make that last step into actually starting already dammit.

So, naturally, I'm cranky as all hell.

Oh no, you too? I've had that for weeks, before it actually arrived last week. With false alarms and everything. My sister says it's probably the onset of menopause. Eep.

I think that's what it means, yeah. ;) If it wasn't for hormonal imbalances and hot flashes, I'd say bring it on, too, because it's not as if I'm going to use my reproductive system anymore, anyway.

I said 'eep' because I'm 41, and menopause usually starts around 50, I think? But I guess it varies?

I'm 45, and menopause doesn't usually start then, but I really wouldn't mind if it did! It's got to happen some time anyway, so better get it done sooner rather than later. Menopause starts late in my family though (55/56), so I'm not holding my breath...
