I like to go back to sites that are filled with fics I have enjoyed in the past, have a clear and easy navigation so I can just click away and go to familiar fics that fit the mood I'm in, like this site. It's got RPS, FPS and links. Everything sorted by pairing and rating. Every fic has a clear summery so you don't accidentally end up with a sad fic when you needed cheering up and every fic, down to the smallest drabble, and including the fics by guest authors, is accompanied with a carefully chosen pic: I like that kind of eye for detail.

And guess what? I checked this morning, because I could do with a nice cheering up fic, and to my surprise I found a fic I hadn't read yet. It's got Billy, Dom and Elijah and everybody gets soaking wet OMG!!!

Thanks for the link! I'm definitely going to browse that site. It's too bad 'Beyond the Fellowship' isn't around anymore, isn't it? It was such a great archive...

I must say I didn't use 'Beyond the Fellowship' all that often. I'd started bookmarking the sites of my favorite writers quite early on and that has proven to be a good source for me. Some sites, of writers who don't have a LJ, I check on a daily basis.

And I google a lot of course.

I checked back in Molly's LJ and found the entry in which she'd posted the fic originally (I really don't understand how I could have missed it!) and I'm possibly the only one around here who hadn't already read it *slumps* so this rec may very well be completely useless.

I found it again! I had read that fic earlier and loved it. Then I forgot where it was and was very sad 'cause I thought I'd never get to read it again.

If you're ever looking for a particular fic again, don't hesitate to drop by and ask me if I know where to find it: if a hobbit(actor) is involved, chances are disgustingly big that I can find it *blushing*
