...after the hobbits have done their share of name card trading, Elijah asks something about the card he's holding, and when he gets an answer everybody starts laughing, Elijah looks embarrassed and whatnot. What's that all about? Anybody knows?

from what I can see of the card he's holding, it translates to his name, "iraijah uoodo"... Elijah Wood.
