Today I met up with 3 ex-colleagues of mine. We've been doing that every 2 or 3 months for almost 16 (= sixteen omg) years now. In those years we changed jobs, moved to other parts of the country, got married, had children, but whatever has changed one thing has stayed the same: we always have a blast when we meet again!

We met in a city somewhere halfway where all of us live, which happens to be a lovely city to do shopping. Which we did. We had lunch, annoyed some and amused others with our giggling and chattering, let ourselves blow from one shop to another (the weather was lousy, with rain and practically storming, but who cares), had coffee and cakes, shopped some more, flirted around, got shoved out of the last shop because they really wanted to close now thank you very much, had dinner, laughed and talked and talked and talked and set a date for our next meeting.

Ah, that was good! :D :D :D

So I came home with little gifts for the kids (black leather wristcuffs for the boys (shut up) and a jacket for my daughter) and a whole shitload of clothing I'm absolutely not used of buying for myself in this quantity: 4 trousers, 3 t-shirts, a blouse, 2 jackets and 4 bras.

Hubby has just checked if he can undo the clip on those bras with one hand. He can.

Go hubby! That one-handed thing can be very important. And appreciated. Heh.

Sure thing!

Oh! And your using that icon on me! You know, that that shoot is nice enough, but the suit, the hair etc, it doesn't really do for me what it's obviously doing for others. But the look on his face in this pic... *drools* I mean... just look at his eyebrows dammit!!! It should be illegal or something!

Well, my youngest boy has been asking for something like this for months now, but I couldn't find anything that was suitable for a child. Most things look too rough and tough and aggressive and are meant for adults. But I found this in a children's clothing shop amoung the accessories. It's a black leather band that goes around the wrist 2 times. The first part is almost 2 inches broad, the second part goes over it and is 1/2 inch broad and closes with a clasp. It's really cool!

My ex could do that too, and he was very proud of it. He could also do it through my clothing, and he had the nasty habit of demonstrating this, ehm, talent, in the most inappropriate of places. Like the supermarket. Men...

;D

Oh! I'm glad my hubby doesn't do that kind of thing! And if necessary he can fasten it too. But he needs both hands for that (and he tends to let those wander before he gets around the actual fastening of the bra.)

It was, and I am. I just wish some people on my friendslist (like you) could have more wonderful days and be lucky this way. Happiness obviously lies in things like good company, a happy marriage, healthy kids and the ability to enjoy those. It almost feels like bragging when I write about these things and have to resist the urge to sort of apologize for being happy or more particularly: to write about it here in my LJ. Which is weird, I realize that.

Please, sweetheart, don't feel guilty in any way shape or form. I want you to be happy, I want you to tell me all about it, I love knowing that my friends are having fun. It cheers me up considerably and gives me hope. So please don't apologize!
