Oh, thanks for this! If I could be dragged away from my OTP, I would definitely write Bonden/Maturin. I love their mutual respect and affection and love of natural science. Definitely. But I'd feel obligated to read every single one of the books before I could start, because I'd want to get it right. And I just can't take that on. But it's tempting. Very tempting.
