Got an email from [livejournal.com profile] peanutter this morning "DE, you MUST see these!" with a link to this: [livejournal.com profile] undone27 posted Comicon 2002 pics & caps which included one I hadn't seen yet and a better quality version of one I alread had.

Meaning the first one of the batch.

Oh man... *moans* shaggy and shaggable.

In case anyone is interested, here's the E-news clip Undone is referring to:

(.wmv, 1.1 MB)

One more thing about Undone's pic spam: may I just point out the delightfulness that is the pic of beaming Elijah with mike and waterbottle? *whimpers*

Ah, good memories. That was a crazy fun weekend.

Oh, and in answer to your question about the "shall we dance" pic, this was at the end of the panel, as everyone was leaving, and people had come up to get them to sign a few things before they left. Elijah and Dom were standing on the front of the stage, facing each other, about an inch apart, and started doing that thing that they do in that one clip from the FOTR Toyko premiere-- that sort of facing off, play-fighting thing, and then they grabbed each other around the waist instead, and then spun around. The end of that spin is what got caught in that pic.

It's such a turning point that weekend. Sort of where hobbitmania-like fan-behaviour started. Because it was just starting it was still fun for the fans and amusing and flattering for the guys. It's gone a bit too wild for my taste on some occasions, I mean in a way that a feeling of respect for the guys got a little lost on some occasions, and it's more difficult for them to interact with fans on a level that's mainly friendly. It'll come back I guess (hope).

I loved their wide eyed grinning over what an effect they had on the people. And the teasing they did, exaggerating their stories and spicing things up when they noticed it was appreciated. It must have been just as exciting for them as it was for the fans.

Thanks for answering my question by the way!
