Advice please!! I want to register for RingCon 2006, because so many LJ people are going and I want to meet you all. Oh yeah, and you never know, maybe Elijah will actually come too...

But.

What's best to do? Economy, Silver or Gold? What are you guys buying?

Thanks for asking, because I'm wondering about this myself, of course. It seems so very, very far away, but apparently now is the time to take action. It would be fantastic to meet everyone again, and meet new people! And yeah, you never know if Elijah might show his face as well. ;)Then again, he hasn't cancelled anything so far, has he??

BTW, just wanted to add that I think it's great he's doing this! Maybe he felt a little guilty for doing big American cons like ORC and ELF and not really doing anything over here (except for Edinburgh, but that wasn't a con), so now he's doing something for his European fans again! It's really wonderful!!

I'd advise buying the Economy ticket and then buying the autograph vouchers of your choice once the guests are announced.

Hey, it would be great to meet you all. But where does this rumour of Elijah attending come from? He was rumoured to have been too expensive for this year's con. Chances are he'll be too expensive for next year's event as well. Not to think of filming commitments. That said, I would be the happiest person ever if he attended. *beams*

So it is possible to get autograph tickets separately, after you've bought your ticket for the con? Is it also possible to buy tickets for certain events at the con itself? How soon do the tickets run out, in your experience?

As for the rumour: I looked around on the site, and the announcement was on the message board.

The announcement is on their forum, and they are very reliable. If they say he comes it means that they have a contract with him.

Having said that, there is always a clause in these contracts that if he gets film work and can't get away he will not come. So there is never a 100% guarantee. But I am willing to take my chances :-)

How about an economy or silver ticket? It seems like most people are going for that. From what I understand if you get a gold ticket you'll get more autographs (also of people you may not be interested in) and a t-shirt and shit like that, but it's not like you're getting more time with Elijah or anything (if he's coming at all...)

I think, if you go, you go to meet fellow fans, and don't count too much on seeing a lot of Elijah, if anything at all, because you may very well be disappointed!

I bought Economy (already when I was there and before I knew that Elijah is coming) and I will keep that one. They said that you can buy autograph tickets on top, not sure about photo ops. Either way for me the panels are the best :-)

I haven't got a clue... I'm booking today, because, well I hope Elijah is coming but I'm mostly going for the Elijah girlie reunion :D It's going to be fun either way.

But man, from the USA... that's something to ponder for sure... Are you seriously considering? For C4 quite a number of people came from the USA and it was an absolute blast! But that's easy for me to say, I couldn't come to Elf either because it was just too far, and too expensive.
