Yes, but I found I could ignore the obnoxious in favor of the pretty. Also held true during the scene with him in the command chair, when I was thoroughly distracted from his smug superiority (which would normally make me want to throttle him) by his neck, omg. (Also distracted by the thought of John straddling him in the chair, things they could do in the chair, how often John has looked down to see him with his head tipped back like that, baring his neck... you know. The usual.)
Hmmmm, it's that scene I was specifically referring to, so for me I was distracted by his eye-lashes, but not enough to whince at how much of a complete asshole he was there to everybody and more specifically to Radek. Sex was far from my mind there! As, by the way, it was far from my mind when Rodney collapsed and John virtually threw him on his bed... It was only afterward that I realized; John led Rodney's fall onto his bed, and I didn't think of sex... o_0
He's got good hands, John does, I've watched that scene a couple of time now, and I can't keep my eyes from John's solid hand on Rodney's shoulder. I'm first and foremost a Rodney girl, but John is something too.
Oh, and I just loved how Rodney went to everyone for reconciliation, and just when I thought it was John's turn, Rodney is back to meditating with him, and there's that moment of 'We're good, aren't we?', with John's 'Of course!' *meeps, bibbles and whatnot*
Also; did you watch Rodney's hands when he's working the control thingies of the chair? And more specifically the way his fingers move? It makes me so happy I like het fiction, I just wish there was more, because my mind is going specific places I'd like those fingers to go. Oh man... and I hadn't been thinking of sex regarding that chair so far, but now...

When John says: "I'll keep an eye on him" he watches Rodney and his right hand is grasping the gun around his leg, and I was like *gulp*, John, what do you have in mind?!?
