The new fandom

Somehow capping 'The Tao of Rodney' didn't quite work out the way I liked; it's for such a big part about the movement, about the dialog, about a complete scene, that I couldn't find satisfaction in capping. The following scene worked rather nicely though, with all the different expressions of John and Rodney. I especially love John's 'seriously folks, I couldn't make this shit up...' face, and the way Rodney checks with John every few seconds to see if he's sounding very ridiculous.

Hee! Beautiful! I capped the ep last night, and when I was doing that scene I laughed out loud. John, you are SO silly. I love that we get a closeup of him trying not to laugh after Rodney is done.

Ahahaha!! Oh yeah, that close-up is priceless; he looks ready to explode :D

I tried capping that scene when they're leaving the control-room to come to the aid of Lorne's team; John briskly steps around the control-panel, past Ronon and Teyla, and then Rodney falls into step with him. I love those little details. Except the caps came out all blurry.

There's so many good scenes with John and Rodney walking and talking to each other, like in "McKay and Mrs. Miller", but like you said, they're always all so blurry! It makes me crazy. I wonder if that is because they use digital film? This is the only show I've felt the urge to cap in such detail, so I'm not sure.

OMG that last one - it's BEGGING for iconizing, isn't it? John's all "You see what I have to put up with?" and Rodney's "He never believes me!"

And the fact that it's followed by Carson's mid-air flailing - well, it just couldn't be better. SUPERPOWERS FOR THE WIN!

They just need to stand really close more often; it's more convenient for iconizing too.

(I've got a plan here; since the writers of SGA are obviously granting fan-wishes as put down on the internet, I thought I might put forth one of mine. A modest one, don't you think? Next up is a nice cuddle; by the end of the season they're all over each other!)
