rodneyscat: (rodney and john in a field)

Aw, Dr. Keller really has to find her place, not only towards the fans, but also in Atlantis. I could use with a little more acknowledgment that yes, they do miss Carson.

Rodney whining that as their boss he has to do evaluations on his staff!! And then John coming in, seemingly all done, but only because he basically says 'they're all excellent', and Rodney's 'oh hey, I can do that!'. God, that was hilarious!

Weir being pushed aside. Again. Being the not-military chief of Atlantis is way frustrating! I love how she talks about it with Teyla; they're really friends. I also love that John and Rodney support her actively and especially Rodney makes a point of being publicly clear about it, and not missing an opportunity to do so. (By the end, that remark about how O'Neill is very fond of her, that's not the kind of compliment I'd be waiting for as the female chief of Atlantis, but that's just me I guess.)

The whole episode is again filled with over the top things that go wrong with even more over the top solutions, and I'm loving it!! Oh yeah, lets just shove an asteroid in the path of the beam, why not!

John and Rodney stomping off with A Plan in the making is always a delight.

John to Rodney and Radek when they're bitching at each other again: "Why don't you guys just make out and get it over with?" *falls off chair laughing* Oh god!! They really know what kind of fans they're dealing with!

John in the drone-chair... That shouldn't be as hot as it is. Only it is. Very much so. *writhes*

Also, I loved John comparing his team to the Fantastic Four, which didn't quite work out the way he wanted it, but the bottom-line: 'I love my team', that was so touching.

I don't know if it shows, but I'm really getting ever more fond of John...

He looks good too.

To be continued has never been so unwelcome. I can't wait, and they haven't even started filming yet!!!! Argh...

Ah, I've seen SG go through this dance so many times -- hardass military man mellows out and becomes human after a while. He's lucky they did it within one episode. ;-)

(None of the uploads at *ahem* that comm worked? I've been getting mine there pretty easily. The ones on Megaupload tend to work.)

What a good idea to watch all the way through again! *checks Amazon order* Mid-March! Wah! I am absolutely flabbergased that it's taken that long to put together the DVD set. WTF?

No, for some reason none of the latest SG-1 downloads worked for me. I'm glad the SGA ones did though! I've found torrents for SG-1 eps 14 and 15 that look promising though, and I'll let them run tonight, so I won't be getting complaints from the kids ;)

It's so weird that Stargate dvd's (both SGA and SG-1) come out earlier over here than in the USA. SGA season 2 is scheduled for 21st of February! My youngest is especially looking forward to that, because he's tried watching the files I've got, but can't quite follow the story without the help of Dutch subtitles and regretfully gave up after a couple of episodes.

Oh god, revisiting Grace Under Pressure!! And 'The Lost Boys'/'The Hive'; that story has some of my favorite Rodney scenes, with him high on the enzyme. The scene where he comes walking through the gate, completely hyper. I'd been wanting to ask David about that scene at Peg2, but well, lets not go there... [/frustrated] Rodney is at the same time hilarious, distressing, sad and moving during all these scenes, he had my emotions all over the place!

a ha, ha, you summarized this episode so well! I have finally seen all the missing episodes, there were five of them, not four, as I thought ! 0_0.

about the subtitles... you know that there are english subtitles, right? On http://projet-sg.net. I don't know whether there are dutch subtitles, but it is fairly easy to translate the files. The synchronization part should stay the same.

For a lot of series that are up for torrents there are Dutch subtitles available, but I've never mananged to get subtitles actually working in the files I've got. I'd probably get it working if I'd spend more time on them, but I'm already spending too much time on my computer as it is, so I figured we just wait for the dvd's.
