Today my daughter pointed out a YouTube clip to me that had me grinning like a loon and playing it again and again. It's a sort of hand twist to a Daft Punk song. It takes about 50 seconds to get started, but then it gets more clever with every tempo change. (It's got an incredible amount of hits, so I'm quite possibly the last person on the internet to have seen it.)

Then my oldest son pointed out a YouTube clip that was inspired by the Daft hands clip. It's basically the same thing, but shorter and with quite a sinister twist...

You weren't the last! Thanks for linking! Wow. I wonder where they got the idea. To the first one, obviously. The second one is a bit chilling.

The second one looks like one from the official campaigns we get come December to warn kids for the dangers of fireworks. The Dutch ones can be pretty gruesome.

this one is pretty neat too, it's two girls dancing with the words on their bodies.

Oh cute! I saw all kinds of variations on the theme, lots of 'm pretty half-assed and just not as neat as the original, but this one actually works beautifully, and it gets better further into the song.

From there I got the male version (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6EUupnF02vo) of the dance they created, and I like how those guys credit the girls for creating it. Plus it starts with a 'strip-tease', which is a creative way of dealing with the first 50 minutes where there's no text yet.

These are fun. I scoped the links in the comments, also. The guys were too cut for me, so I want it done again with some padding. I think something even more interactive as far as dance could be achieved. Instead of just standing forward and 'pacing' in between words. I'd love to see it done with a 'couple' same sex or het. But, more as a couple. *g* Thanks. This is fun.

Yeah, the guys looked a little too fit for me too, but they make up for it by grinning so adorably bashful when they start to strip and I love that the guy on the left has some balancing trouble while the guy on the right can life his leg and look like he can keep standing like that comfortably all day.

I approve of your idea of giving them something to do during the longer breaks at the start. They could do some groping as per warming up.

Being a slasher makes watching two guys dance together so much more fun.

LOL! We should ask them if they can do it over. Wait... aren't they brothers? Oh, well... they can do it anyway. It's all make believe.

And, thanks... I can't. Stop. Watching. :-P

That first clip is amazing! The second one is quite sinister, yes, but with a good, strong message.

Do you know this one (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bl6RJyZdBSU&feature=related)? The same principle as the Daft Hands, but executed differently. Also very cleverly done!

ETA, ah, someone else also linked it. And there's a male version, too! Also very cleverly done. I'm really impressed that everyone in all these clips shot the videos in one go. I wonder how long they all rehearsed before shooting. :)

Lol that's a hell of a work-out video when it gets going! Exhausting just to watch them!

Yeah, it doesn't look like much when they start out, but along the way it gets quite impressive!

About your icon; ok, so that's Justin and Etre (with capital letters), but what's 1000000? Is it a dash?

That hand dance might just be the coolest hand dance I have ever seen! Thanks for the link, and I am definitely the last to have seen it!
