I love reading Joe Mallozzi's blog. I especially enjoy entries like this one on SGA episode 5x3 'Broken ties', where he writes about writing.
I have to quote this little exchange that didn’t survive the first draft,
(in case you haven't seen the episode; Rodney just told John that he tried sitting in a bath because he hoped relaxing would make an idea pop into his head, and then he asks John for a fresh view on the matter)
[quote Joe]
SHEPPARD: Okay, but I’m not getting in a bath with you.
MCKAY: I’m both relieved and slightly disappointed. Now, let’s review.
Too bad. I thought it was kind of funny and played to McKay’s ego. Sorry, McSheppers

It's such a John kind of thing to decline an offer that hasn't even been made! He never sees it coming when women come on to him, but apparently he assumes Rodney is making him offers he has to refuse all the time *giggles*
