I spent this evening at gayadi's place watching West Wing episodes 5 to 8 and then I introduced her to Merlin. So yeah, that was nice :D

Oh, and I'm too sleepy to get into this right now, but something tells me I'm going to need a tag for West Wing.

Yesterday we booked our holiday for August. We're never this early and we never book. We usually just drive off in a general direction, go until we're fed up, look for a camping site and set up for the night. If we like the site we stay longer, if we don't we move on. That's how we did it up until now.

For several reasons, most of which boil down to 'I'm getting too old for this shit', we decided to try it differently this year. We're booking through an organization we've heard positive things about, they have tents set up everywhere in Europe and you don't have to book the usual Friday-to-Friday deal. So we're staying at the first camping for 3 nights, move on to the next in the South of France for another 8 nights and then back up to the middle of France for another 3 nights at the third camping. One thing we found out; it's sure more expensive this way, geez...

Now where does fandom come into this you ask? The first camping we're staying is a 20 minute drive away from Chateau de Pierrefonds...

I was right in the middle of commenting and replying when the mail arrived and this dropped on my doormat...

2) Specifically on the fanvids: I'm linking some I've had on one of my YouTube playlists for a long time, because when I checked this morning so many of them have been removed for different reasons, that I felt compelled to point some out before they get removed also. These are vids I love watching, for different reasons. It can be a technically brilliant vid, or a brilliant idea, or the music-choice did something for me, or all of the above.

This is so heartwarming, so lovely, taking those first steps into getting to know each other, carefully checking if they're reading each other right, if this could be something more. Now that's just typical isn't it... I finally get around to sit down and start a rec post, when I find out part 4 of a series I'm reccing has been posted.

After much consideration I decided to be weak, post this entry as far as I got and curl up on the couch with said chapter.
